We’ve been asking website owners at OurLocality to make a contribution to the hosting and maintenance costs for a wee while now.
We thought that paying online would make life easier for some.
However we’ve found that many, perhaps most of our clients don’t seem to bank online or have limited facilities to manage their finances online (or don’t want to).
In the light of the poor uptake of our Paypal Membership service, we’ve decided to suspend new memberships.
From now on website owners who join a plan will need to set up a Standing Order.
Standing Orders are easy to setup and easy to cancel (just remember to tell us).
Standing Orders have a big benefit: there’s no additional costs to Sustaining Dunbar and all the money we make is reinvested in providing a 24/7 service.
You can still make token donations using Paypal and anyone still on a Paypal enabled plan can continue for now.
